A beautiful old Colorado spruce growing in a rock crevice. Still there.

Aspen in the Black Hills. Most aspen clones (groups) here are believed to be 8-10,000 years old.

I core sampled these two old ponderosa pines at work. Notice the branch patterns. The specimen on the left was rotten and I couldn’t get a complete age. The specimen on the right came out just a bit over 600 years.
